ABOUTME
I am a doctoral student at the University of Florida in the Teachers, Schools, and Society program, and a member of UF's interdisciplinary Creative Technology Research Lab. My scholarly interests are situated at the intersection of teacher education and educational technology. As a career educator in K-12 and university settings, I've learned that providing equitable learning experiences for all students requires disrupting the status quo.
The following objectives guide my teaching, research, and service agendas:
-
Develop and promote equity-centered curricula infused with frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Culturally Responsive/Sustaining Pedagogy (CRSP), and high-level technology integration best practices
-
Increase teachers’ knowledge and self-efficacy in designing and implementing equity-centered instruction
-
Create equitable learning conditions that improve learning outcomes for all students
In my downtime, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, taking nature hikes, cheering for Philadelphia sports teams, designing, building, DIYing, and spending time with my family.
