My formal training and professional expertise in instructional design, the visual arts, and interior design  disciplines have equipped me with a unique combination of knowledge and skills that I leverage often in my roles as an educator and scholar. The galleries below feature my previous work as an artist and designer.

INSTRUCTIONALDESIGN

I earned an M.S. degree in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning and a graduate certificate in Workplace e-Learning and Performance Support from Boise State University in 2016, and have worked as an instructional designer and e-learning specialist in higher education. I have conducted research in the areas of program evaluation and needs assessment, developed curriculum for a variety of courses in K-12 and higher-ed, and submitted and reviewed online courses for the University of Florida's Quality Matters peer-review process.

VISUALART&DESIGN

I earned a B.F.A. degree from Syracuse University in 2005, and an M.A. in Teaching degree from the University of the Arts in 2007. After working for a brief period as an interior designer on high-end residential projects, I spent 12 years teaching secondary visual arts. My professional pursuits leave me with limited time to create my own artwork (please keep this in mind when visiting my gallery, as the work is relatively outdated). However, I've greatly enjoy mentoring students in the areas of visual and industrial art and design. (To view my examples of my students' artwork, click here.)
